Understand how Northwest Bank drives culture through peer to peer appreciation.
Here at Northwest Bank, we call ourselves one bank, one team, one direction.
I love the fact that Northwest Bank feels like a really small company even though we've grown a lot.
You know, for us, when we think about our recognition programs, that comes down to reinforcing and recognizing and rewarding those people who deliver an exceptional customer service as well as an exceptional level of internal customer service.
When we started our recognition programs, we were building off of about an eight year history of the bank where we had identified core values and tenants that we held as important. And what we wanted to do was to find ways to really make that kind of come to life because you can take words and say, hey, these are your values, but they don't mean anything until you actually demonstrate and put those into practice. And for us, looking at Motivocity, that peer to peer element was really critical because it uses that social dynamic to really make reinforcement and recognition part of how we live and breathe as an organization. It really becomes part of our culture.
What I really love about Motivocity is how it is adaptive to how each person likes to provide recognition to somebody else. So I'll see some of my colleagues give recognitions all of the time. And maybe they're giving a dollar here, a dollar there, or they're just saying thank you, and they use it almost on a daily basis.
This morning I received an unexpected motivosity, and it felt like it was out of the blue. And it just kind of brightened my day. It made me feel like it was appreciated, you know, on a personal level.
The thing that stands out about Northwest Bank has been their executive level involvement and driving culture.
Really from the top, we've gotten a sense of enthusiasm and commitment to doing the right thing for their people. And we've seen that personal involvement and enthusiasm drive results all the way through the organization.
So, Motive Oste has been a great tool for us to use to help recognize our peers. And we do a very good job from manager to employee of recognizing successes, but every person here is important. And so for every individual to be able to recognize their peers for both little things and big things, Motivosity has really given us the framework to be able to do that in a very easy to use way.
When you leave an organization, when you leave a workplace, you don't take the work with you, but what you do take are the relationships.
